This NO-PREP, spring themed articulation activity targets the "S" and "Z" sounds in initialmedialfinal, and mixed word positions through interactive, hands-on puzzle tasks. Designed for speech therapy sessions with early elementary students, these articulation puzzles support high-repetition practice while building engagement through coloring, cutting, and reassembling themed images.

Perfect for individual and small group sessions!

What’s Included:

  • 4 spring-themed puzzle images
  • Target words for "S" and "Z" in initial, medial, final, and mixed positions
  • Two puzzle assembly grid options
  • Clear student directions for both parts of the activity
  • Easy Printable format (no back to back printing required!)
  • Take home practice page included as part of the activity

Directions: Each puzzle is completed in two parts:

  • Students first color the puzzle image while practicing target words, then glue and fold paper in half. This will cause each target word to be stuck to the back side of a puzzle piece.
  • Students cut apart, mix up and reassemble the puzzle pieces onto one of two grids while continuing to practice target words (shown on the backside of each puzzle piece). They can take this completed page home for extra practice.
