Celebrate National Discover What Your Name Means Day (March 8) or all year round, with this fun speech therapy activity for elementary-age students! This dice-rolling name generator targets 12 phonemes (s, z, f, v, k, g, l, r, th, sh, ch, j) in all word positions, featuring a mix of nouns, verbs, and adjectives. A perfect grab-and-go articulation activity. Useful for small groups, centers, or individual therapy!

What's Included:

  • 12 phoneme target pages: s, z, f, v, k, g, l, r, th, sh, ch, j
  • 1 page per phoneme with 4 name cards covering initial, medial, final and mixed word positions
  • Dice-rolling name generator table for first, middle, and last names

Materials not included: dice

Prep: None. Print and Go. (Although there is the option to cut each page into 4 individual cards...a nice way to differentiate in small groups.)

How to Play:

1. Practice the first name target words, discussing definitions as needed.

2. Roll a die to determine a new first name.

3. Repeat for middle and last names, practicing each list of target words before rolling.

4. Say the full generated name aloud for additional articulation practice.

Rename your family & friends for extra fun!
